Quinta do Pessegueiro is a winery located in Douro Valley, Portugal. The five level building, constructed of packed glass and concrete cubes, was designed by architects Artur Miranda and Jacques Bec of Oitoemponto. The vineyard prides itself on it's sustainable practices and use of renewable resources, so the strategic placement of the structure on a hill, cuts out the traditional use of pumps. Natural gravity is used to power the vats and barrels used to produce the wine.
Artur and Jacques began creating furniture, rugs and lighting before opening their architecture firm in 2007 to create personal and sophisticated atmospheres.
