For the second season in a row, Lexus kicked-off New York Fashion Week with the Design Disrupted event. This season the luxury car brand featured British fashion designer, Gareth Pugh, who presented his Spring/ Summer 2015 collection.
Pier 36 in Manhattan was transformed into an immersive performance space with dancers accompanied by large films. It is the first time that the acclaimed designer, who is known for garments described as wearable sculptures, forwent showing at Paris to debut his pieces in New York.
In addition to the collection, Lexus celebrated the release of the RC F performance coupe. According to Brian Bolain, Lexus' Corporate Marketing Communications Manager,“At Lexus we’re constantly pushing the boundaries of design, performance and technology, and we strive to work with innovative people, like Gareth Pugh, who take similar creative risks. This year’s Lexus Design Disrupted defies convention and invites guests to experience both brands in an unexpected way.”
Celebrities in attendance to the show included Sarah Jessica Parker, Coco Rocha, Andy Cohen and Adrian Grenier.
