An exhibit displaying the influential work of David Bowie will be making it's U.S. debut later this month at the Museum of Contemporary Art Chicago. "David Bowie Is" will take visitors through the influential career of Bowie from Ziggy Stardust to Aladdin Sane. The expansive exhibition was curated by the Victoria and Albert Museum in London from over 70,000 pieces belonging to the David Bowie Archive.
The immersive display will explore the many aspects of David Bowie's evolving artistic career through videos, stage costumes, album covers, stage sets, photographs, and music. The museum has partnered with Sennheiser to provide an outstanding audio experience through 3D sound simulation equipment. Sennheiser headphones will be given to each visitor, so that they can experience 25 corresponding live audio streams that are set up in accordance to relevant display zones. Additionally, they will have the opportunity to view a 3D audio spectacle of Bowie's concerts throughout the years with technology created by Gregor Zielinsk, Sennheiser’s International Recording Applications Manager and featuring an exclusive mash up of Bowie's music created by his longtime producer, Toni Visconti.
The groundbreaking interactive exhibit has already been viewed by millions across the globe in London, Berlin, Sao Paulo and Toronto.
