HUGO BOSS Toasts to the Young Collectors Council in Soho
Wednesday night HUGO BOSS hosted a celebration at the new HUGO store in Soho in honor of the Young Collectors Council of the Solomon R. Guggenheim Museum.
To commemorate the evening, HUGO BOSS made a generous contribution to the Guggenheim Museum’s Acquisitions Fund. HUGO BOSS has been a long time supporter of the Arts and continues to sponsor the HUGO BOSS PRIZE, which has established itself as a significant forum for recognizing achievement in contemporary art. The PRIZE is the fruit of long-term cooperation between HUGO BOSS and the Solomon R. Guggenheim Museum – an art-world institution for 14 years. Administered by the Solomon R. Guggenheim Foundation, the award plus monetary support was established in 1996 to recognize significant achievement in contemporary art every second year.
The Greene Street store features a perfectly balanced combination of materials, including high-gloss lacquered finishes, textile elements, and expansive wood flooring. These selected interior components combined with an impactful design layout provide the perfect backdrop to enhance the HUGO menswear and womenswear collections along with shoes, accessories and fragrances. Other visual elements include dynamic and innovative themes inspired by the collection, such as large-scale graphic artwork featuring the street grid patterns of New York City.
Guests included Alex Pettyfer, Colton Haynes, Chloe Sevigny, and Ryan Kwanten – all wearing HUGO, along with Henrik Lundqvist, Lance Bass, Oliver Jackson Cohen, Derek Lam & Jan-Hendrik Schlottmann, Philip Bloch, Ambassador Brian Bowler, Hannah Bronfman, Lady Liliana Cavendish, Olivia Chantecaille, Peter Davis, Carlos De Souza, Becka Diamond, Tim Goossens, Elizabeth & Bob Gruen, Frederic Fakkai, Gherardo Guarducci, Zani Gugelmann, Johannes Huebl, Jeremy Kost, Nemo Librizzi, Paul Mathieu, Carlos Mota, Sky Nellor, Deidre Nesteruk, Olivia Palmero, Amanda Ross, Lauren Remington Platt, Kate Schelter, Sam Shaffer, Emma Snowdon-Jones, Robert Verdi, Shirin von Wulffen and Paolo Zampolli in company with Chairman and CEO Claus-Dietrich Lahrs, Chairman and CEO Americas Mark Brashear, and Creative Director Eyan Allen, listened to the music stylings of DJ Paul Sevigny while enjoying the new modern shopping environment created throughout the space with the use of varying shades of grey accented by the HUGO signature color, red.
The YCC is a group of young professionals who seek to explore and further their understanding of contemporary art through a program of private curator-led visits to artists’ studios, galleries, collections, and art fairs. YCC members support and promote emerging artists, and a portion of their dues allow the YCC Acquisitions Committee to purchase work for the Guggenheim’s collection.
