“The Martus Maw,” an exhibition by Nicolas PolVladimir Restoin-Roitfeld is pleased to present “The Martus Maw,” an exhibition of new works by French artist Nicolas Pol. The exhibition kicks off with a private opening reception on Monday, November 9th from 6:00–9:00 PM. Nicolas Pol’s works will be available for public viewing beginning November 10th, and running through December 10th. This exciting exhibition will feature sixteen unseen works by Pol and will be presented in collaboration with RVCA, at 80 Essex Street, NYC.
The exhibition will feature sixteen never-before-seen works by emerging French artist Nicolas Pol. The works, described by the artist as being “wild & raw”, are created through a process that Nicolas explains as “conceptual but thoughtless”. Utilizing mixed media elements, the works in the exhibition combine aspects of medieval ideologies with colorful imagery and figuration. This visually energetic exhibition will be Nicolas Pol’s first show on American soil. Describing his art, Nicolas says, “My artwork is like creating emotionally moving music for a silent film. I want to create a narrative for people to think about while discovering my work.”
